Exeter is a city to the northwest of Plymouth and is especially popular with tourists after being granted status as a Fairtrade City in 2004. thus is it also a great location for businesses and is a well connected city with an international airport as well as an efficient road and rail network.
Things to see and do in Exeter
Visit Exeter Cathedral located in the centre of the city. It has a magnificent structure and is a building which acts as a great landmark in its surroundings. Guided tours are also available most months which are a great way to learn about the history and developments of the place as well as explore its many architectural features.
Another attraction is Exeter’s Historic Quayside, which is very popular with residents as well as tourists owing to its great construction as well as history. Located only 10 minutes from the city centre, it provides a great combination of history as well as modern design. It is here that you can engage in a multitude of activities such as browsing the shops or simply cycling around the area, cruising on a small boat or enjoying some great food. Topsham also has its own museum which is free to enter and looks at the details of life in the area in previous times as well as the industry and commerce of Topsham.
